"These Are The Times"

​Inspired by my brother’s voice during the Black Lives Matter movement, this piece is born from words that refused to stay quiet. His music moved through grief and urgency, and in hearing it, I felt called to respond in my own way.
Layered with fragments of the world we were living in, the painting holds a moment marked by unrest and awakening. It is a reflection on speaking out—on how art, whether sung or painted, can become both witness and resistance.
